Robert S.Fieldman is the psychologist, writer and the author of psychology book „Understanding psychology“. In the first paragraph "Introduction to Psychology" author establishes the main facts of psychology. He discuss roots of psychology, psychology’s key issues and controversies, perspectives and future of this science.
In the first module "Psychologists at Work" author writes about several subfields of Psychology. He claims family tree biological reasons of behaviour. He tries to prove that the human senses are very important in their lives. Author separate many
subfields of psychology such a cognitive, social, experimental psychology and etc.
In the othet module author describes roofs of Psychology, past of this science, the present and the future perspectives. Robert S.Fieldman explains that the begining of psychology science was in 1879. Then the psychologist W.Wundt established first psychology labolatory. Speaking about future, author says, that neuroscience, behaviour, cognitive and humanistic psychology have very bright perspectives.
In the last module professor describes, that there are five different isues of psychology. Author claims, that psychology do high progress, and believe, that this science become increasingly specialized and understanding of human behavior will be central aim.
To sum up, psychology become increasingly specialized science, which pay increasing attention to prevention instead of just treatment, which take interest of public.
